國家機構是國家為實現其職能而建立起來的壹整套國家機關體系的總稱。
按照憲法第三章的規定，中國的國家機構由全國人民代表大會、中華人民***和國主席、國務院、中央軍事委員會、地方各級人民代表大會和地方各級人民政府、民族自治地方的自治機關、人民法院和人民檢察院組成。
從行使職權的性質上看，可以把它們分為國家權力統壹原則下的權力、行政和司法等機關；從行使職權的地域範圍上看，可以把它們分為中央國家機關和地方國家機關。
